Browser extension / in development
VDLGo is an extension for saving videos ahead of time. It detects the video playing on a page, lets you pick a quality, and saves it in one click. Processing stays in your browser.
Not yet on any store. Please check back at launch.
Use VDLGo only with videos you own or are allowed to save. It does not support DRM-protected video or sites whose terms forbid downloading, such as YouTube.
Play a video on a page and the extension lists the video and audio streams that page uses.
Choose the stream and quality you want, with resolution and size shown up front.
Press save and the file goes to your computer. You can watch progress, cancel, and resume.
Finds MP4, WebM, audio and HLS (m3u8).
Pick an HLS quality; segments are fetched in parallel.
Designed so you can stop a save and pick it up again.
On DRM video or unsupported sites it says why and does not start a save.
Targets Chrome, Edge and Brave (Chromium, Manifest V3). Store listings are being prepared.

No. DRM-protected video is not supported. Sites whose terms forbid downloading, such as YouTube, are also out of scope; there the extension is designed to show a message that the site is not supported.
By design, video data and the URLs you visit are not sent to our servers. Processing happens in your browser. See the Privacy Policy.
