Can I use VDLGo today?
Not yet. It is in development and not published on any store. We will announce it on this site.
Can it save any video?
No. DRM-protected video is not supported. Sites whose terms forbid downloading, such as YouTube, are also out of scope; there the extension is designed to show a message that the site is not supported.
Are my videos or URLs sent anywhere?
By design, video data and the URLs you visit are not sent to our servers. Processing happens in your browser. See the Privacy Policy.
What does the free plan include?
Detection and the list view, plus up to 10 downloads a day, each up to 2 GB.
How much does it cost?
In yen: Pro is ¥250 per month or ¥2,980 per year, Lifetime is a one-time ¥5,980 (tax included for Japan). In US dollars: Pro is $1.99 per month or $19.99 per year, Lifetime is $39.99. Free costs nothing. There are two currencies, yen and US dollars, and tax treatment differs by country and currency; please check the final amount on the checkout screen. Sold worldwide, except regions Stripe prohibits and sanctioned countries.
How long does Lifetime last?
It is a lifetime license, valid for all versions as long as the provider continues developing VDLGo. Discontinuation is announced 90 days ahead, purchased features keep working afterwards, and a pro-rata refund applies if it ends within 12 months of purchase. See section 7 of the Terms.
Can you issue a qualified invoice (Japanese invoice system)?
We currently operate as a tax-exempt business and are not registered as a qualified invoice issuer, so we cannot issue qualified invoices. Businesses should check their own tax treatment with a tax professional before buying.
What permissions does the extension need?
It asks for minimal permissions at install. Site-wide detection is an optional choice on first run. If you decline, basic use on the current tab still works.
Will it support Firefox or phones?
Supported browsers are Chrome, Edge and Brave. Firefox is under consideration for v1.x (not decided); mobile is out of scope for now.
Can I get a refund?
Because this is digital content, returns and refunds are not available after purchase, except where the law requires (including countries where consumers have statutory withdrawal rights) and in the case of Lifetime discontinuation (Terms, section 7). Pro monthly/yearly plans can be cancelled: no further charges, and use continues to the end of the paid period. See the Commercial Transactions Act notice.
