Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-11-07
1. Scope
These terms apply to the VDLGo browser extension (the “Product”) and this website. Operator: セラ (Sera); person in charge: Satoshi Nakayama.
2. Your responsibility
- Use the Product only with videos you own, or that the rights holder or the law permits you to save.
- You are responsible for how you handle saved videos, including copying, redistribution and publication.
- Follow the terms of the sites you visit.
3. Out of scope
- The Product does not decrypt or circumvent DRM (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay, etc.). Such content cannot be saved.
- Sites whose terms forbid downloading, such as YouTube, are not supported; the Product shows a notice there.
- Keys are used only when the page's own player fetches them during normal playback. Keys needing a login or a license server are not supported.
4. Prohibited
- Use that infringes others' rights
- Unauthorized copying of the Product, or sharing or reselling license keys
- Use that breaks the law or public order
5. Fees and licenses
Paid plan prices and contents follow the Pricing page and the Commercial Transactions Act notice. Returns and refunds are not available after purchase, except where the law requires or as set out in section 7 (Lifetime discontinuation). Lifetime is a lifetime license, valid for all versions during “the period the Product is offered”, meaning as long as the provider continues developing VDLGo. Section 7 explains what happens if the product is discontinued.
Payments are processed through Stripe, whose terms may apply. The product is sold worldwide, except regions Stripe prohibits and sanctioned countries. Tax treatment of the displayed prices differs by country and currency.
For purchasers in regions such as the EU and the UK where consumers have statutory withdrawal rights, the law applies.
6. Disclaimer
The Product is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for damages arising from its use.
7. Changes and discontinuation
Features and these terms may change. Material changes will be announced on this site.
- If the provider ends development and provision of VDLGo, it will announce this on this site at least 90 days beforehand.
- After discontinuation, purchased features keep working on your device. They work without online verification even after the license server is shut down.
- If the product is discontinued within 12 months of a Lifetime purchase, the price is refunded on a pro-rata basis. After 12 months, refunds are generally not given.
8. Governing law
Japanese law governs. If litigation concerning these terms becomes necessary, the Kobe District Court, Itami Branch, has non-exclusive jurisdiction by agreement (this does not exclude any other court that has jurisdiction by law).
